What to expect :
1. Expect to get wet with Lampitaw banca trip to and from Calayan, so you are advised to bring rain coat or any cover material. Please cover your bag and important belongings with waterproof plastics which is available in the market.
2. No Bank and ATM on the islands, so bring extra cash (please have extra 1k emergency fund)
3. Electricity is from 12nn to 12mn only. Bring power banks.
4. Be informed that no Globe Network available. Please bring Smart or Sun sim powered phones.
5. Theres a small possibility of getting stranded there for unpredictable weather/sea condition.
Things to bring :

* Flashlight/Head Lamp + Extra Batteries
* Other camping materials like stove and butane (if any)
* Clothes for 4-5 days (bring extra)
* Towel/Toiletries/Tissue/Wet Wipes

Calayan is part of the typhoon-prone Babuyan Group of Islands found off-coast of Aparri in extreme Northern Luzon comprised of five (5) main inhabited islands namely Calayan, Camiguin Norte, Babuyan Claro, Dalupiri, and Fuga which belongs to Aparri.
Rough sea travel have rendered these islands one of the remotest and hard-to-reach areas in the Philippines; making delivery of basic services difficult to the island residents.
This was part of the Travel with a Cause spearheaded by the ONE Cagayan Valley Group in partnership with civil society groups #OneCagayan, Innuffun Tuguegarao, Happiness Campaign Cagayan, Pencils for Kids Initiative and those travellers joining our mission to send Encylcopeias and Books, school supplies distribution, gift-giving and bringing happiness campaign to this community.
